Our Story
A life we actually wanted to live.

Before
Fifteen years behind a screen.
For more than 15 years, Evan and I built careers in tech. Him in financial planning, me in growth and marketing. We were good at it. We were also exhausted, and somewhere along the way, work had become the thing we organized our lives around, instead of our family.
A few years ago, we hit a point where we couldn't keep going like that. So we stopped, and asked ourselves a harder question: what do we actually want our life to look like? The answer kept coming back to the same thing. Time with our kids. Time together. Time outside.

"My fascination with nature isn't really a hobby. It's closer to a need."

The garden found me.
Around the same time, I started noticing something. Friends and family kept asking for my opinion on their gardens, their patios, their outdoor spaces. It wasn't something I'd trained for, it was just there. And the more I leaned into it, the more I realized how much I loved it.
Horticulture, plants, the way a garden changes through the seasons. It's where I find my peace.
So I started thinking about what it would look like to bring all of that together: the thing I'm good at, the thing I love, and something that gives me real purpose.
Evan
Yin and yang.
Evan and I figured out something else along the way. We're a classic yin and yang. I'm the big-picture thinker, strategic, a little loud, always chasing the next idea. Evan is patient, grounded, and notices the details I'd walk right past.
We'd spent years learning how to make those differences work in our marriage. It turns out they make us a great team in business too.

Why we do this
Spaces where families actually want to be.
The Garden House is what happens when we point all of that at something we love. Helping families build outdoor spaces where they actually want to be. Not just beautiful gardens, but the table where everyone gathers, the patio where the kids end up every evening without anyone asking them to.
If we can give even a few families in our community that, a place to slow down, be together, and make the memories that end up mattering most, we'll have done exactly what we set out to do.

Every project starts with a conversation. No pressure, no pitch, just a chance to walk your yard with us and talk through what's possible.
